Who We Are:

The Kennel Inn Inc. Animal Control and Adoption Centre is a privately owned company contracted by the townships we serve to provide animal control services. Adoption Services are also available to any and all persons looking for a companion animal.

What We Do:

The Kennel Inn Inc animal control services include but are not limited to Cat and Dog licensing, Enforcing By-Laws, Pick-Up of Stray/ Confined Cats and Dogs as well as Barking Complaints. Animal Control Officers are empowered to enforce municipal animal bylaws. They can issue Provincial Offense Notices (tickets) or a summons to appear in court and they have the authority to impound stray cats and dogs.

Our Adoption facility provides Lost and Found services to pet owners dedicated to having their animal(s) return home. The Adoption Centre is for the stray animals that have not been claimed or in some cases have been surrendered by their owner. We offer re- homing services of any unclaimed strays. We have an open adoption ( no appointment necessary) so come by and visit us.

Our Mission:

Ensuring all cats and dogs are properly identified thorugh licensing, returning stray cats and dogs back to their families, re-homing unclaimed strays, finding rescue for those that cannot adjust to "shelter life" and enforcing the By-Laws for the townships we serve. (Although we do not have a veterinarian on site) any animal(s) requiring veterinary care are taken to local clinics to be examined.

Hill’s® Science Diet® “Second Chance for Love” shelter program has partnered with us and is donating pet food for all dogs, cats, kittens and puppies being cared for here. We no longer need individual pet food donations because of this partnership; however we do have a “wish list” of urgently needed items for the animals in our care. Simply ask any staff member. Thank you for your continued support!
