HOW YOU CAN HELP

There are several ways that you can help the animals at the Kennel Inn Inc.  

ADOPT

Adopting an animal is a very rewarding experience and a great addition to any family.  Not only are you changing the lives of the animal(s) you take home but you are helping the Kennel Inn to make space for another animal to have the opportunity to find his/her forever home.

SPAY & NEUTER YOUR PETS

Every year shelters are faced with an over population of animals. Several of which are euthanised due to the lack of adoptive homes. Although, your cat had 4 kittens and you were able to find homes for them- that's four homes that a shelter animal will never see, thus lessing their chances of being adopted. Help shelters by spay or neutering your pet.

VOLUNTEER

The Kennel Inn is looking for dedicated volunteers to come walk our dogs and socialize our cats on a regular basis. If you are 18 years of age or older and are able to commit to a weekly shift of 2-4 hours then please fill out a volunteer application form.

LICENCE YOUR PETS

By licencing your pet, we are able to reunite you and your animal quicker, in most cases before they make it back to the Kennel. This also informs members of the Public that your animal is up to date on vaccines. Hundreds of animals are placed into our care each year due to lack of proper identification. The majority of these cases are placed into our adoption centre as an owner couldn't be located. Licences are required by law. Please contact our offices to have an appointment made to purchase a licence.

CONTACT US WHEN STRAY CATS & DOGS ARE FIRST SPOTTED

Animal Control Centres are designed to be "home base". This is where owners come to locate their lost pet, they will not think to check the neighbours garage that lives 6 houses down. Most people don't want to see an animal end up at a shelter. However, if Animal Control centres are notified immediately after a sighting, the odds of finding an owner are higher. Please do not feed stray cats as they may have an owner looking for them.

DONATE

We here at the Kennel Inn Inc. are always in need of donations to keep our animals comfortable and warm during their temporary stay with us. If you want to help but don't have the time to volunteer or are unable to adopt, you could always donate! Please see our WISH LIST below:

If you have items to donate please contact us here or feel free to drop them off at our facility at 14378 Yonge St. Aurora, ON              (Click here to get a map of our location). Under certain circumstances we do have the option of pick-ups.  Please phone in at (905)727-4646 to arrange pick up.
